The Unistream team from Israel Sci-Tech Afridar School in Ashkelon qualified for the national finals of this year’s 20th annual venture competition.

Unistream was founded in 2001 by entrepreneur and businessman Roni Tzarom, with the aim of reducing socio-economic disparities, through the education and training of youth and young people from the social and geographical periphery of Israel. The youth are voluntarily accompanied by over 4,500 business people who are role models for them. The Unistream team from Israel Sci-Tech Afridar School in Ashkelon has qualified for the final stage out of 90 teams that competed and will participate in the national final in July. The team created an app called Healthy Friend that is emotionally adapted to a healthy lifestyle and exercise. The app is based on the proven connection between body and mind and offers healthy lifestyle tips and exercise routines to enhance positive emotions, increase strength and resilience, self-confidence and mood on a daily basis. The International Bank has sponsored the Unistream group and is providing close mentoring through the finals.
