For the first time in Israel: A revolution in training the professions of tomorrow in medicine and technology – Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and ISTS launch a groundbreaking initiative to train practical engineers in medical fields.
The Tel Aviv Sourasky University Medical Center (Ichilov Hospital) and the ISTS Israel network signed a joint strategic agreement today to establish the “ISTS – Ichilov Hospital” program for practical engineering studies and professional training in medical fields. The studies will take place at the ISTS Singalovski College in Tel Aviv and within the hospital’s medical fields, in cooperation with leading lecturers from Ichilov Hospital.
This is a first-of-its-kind and groundbreaking partnership in Israel between a leading technological college network and a leading medical center, actively collaborating from the planning stage to execution, in order to meet a critical need in the modern job market: training skilled personnel for innovative professions that combine medicine, engineering, and advanced technology.
The venture addresses the medical market gap by training professionals to bridge technological development and clinical care. It offers specialized tracks in critical areas: Medical Equipment Engineering, Software Engineering (AI & Data Science), Biotechnology (Medicinal Chemistry), Medical Electronics, and Industrial Engineering – Pharmacist Assistant.
CEO of the Tel Aviv Sourasky University Medical Center (Ichilov Hospital), Prof. Eli Sprecher: “We welcome this unprecedented cooperation with the ISTS Israel network and express our deep gratitude for it. Ichilov Hospital proves time and again that it is a strategic entity shaping the professions of the future, and now it is also a greenhouse for developing the technological human capital of the entire healthcare system.”
