Pioneering Science & Technology Education
iSTEAM
Preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century through innovation, science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, entrepreneurship, and hands-on learning.
iSTEAM is the flagship program of the Israel Sci-Tech Schools Network. The program is highly regarded internationally and is licensed to schools in the European Union, the United States, the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan, and the Philippines.
Students build multidisciplinary projects across science, engineering, technology, and art, developing the skills required in a changing world: teamwork, critical thinking, innovative design, and entrepreneurship.
Innovation in Action
iSTEAM OpenValley
iSTEAM OpenValley is a joint venture between Israel Sci-Tech Schools Network and OpenValley, created to connect the worlds of innovation and start-ups to Israel Sci-Tech schools around the country.
The programs take place at OpenValley innovation centers, providing designated study and training spaces for student and teacher entrepreneurs, student-led innovation clubs, and creative change processes.
Hands-On Learning
STUDIO & MAKERS Curriculum
The STUDIO and MAKERS curriculum develops the skills students need when the greatest challenges depend less on memorized knowledge and more on flexibility, adaptability, iteration, sharing, collaboration, and autonomous learning.
The program gives students “hands-on wisdom” through creative physical projects involving spatial thinking, initiative, design, documentation, wood, metal, plastic, textiles, Arduino, micro:bit, 3D controllers, open challenges, teamwork, and multidisciplinary integration.
Teacher Innovation
R&D Incubator
The R&D incubator supports teacher development in innovation and technological, engineering, and scientific entrepreneurship.
The incubator helps develop products, systems, and solutions that promote a school start-up culture while connecting educators with start-up and high-tech companies.
- HUB Educational: an annual development track for teachers and principals creating technological-engineering solutions through Project Based Learning and Design Thinking.
- Pedagogical Innovation Capsule: focused work on relevant topics with professionals and mentors.
- MAKERS Workshop & Curriculum: a compact, well-equipped school workshop model designed to be replicated and operated across schools.
